Russell Brand and Alex Reid have both been dabbling in politics with trips to Parliament this week, but who will win our Celebrity Face Off?

Political credentials

Russell Brand was invited to appear before the Home Affairs Select Committee at the House of Commons this week to discuss drugs policy in Britain. Having spent years struggling with drug addiction himself, following the death of Amy Winehouse last year he claimed society’s attitude towards addiction needed to change. His appearance at the committee was largely deemed a success, with Brand eloquently discussing the issue and arguing that addiction should be treated as a health matter rather than a criminal or judicial matter.

Reality star and cage fighter Alex Reid was at Parliament to launch the Let’s Do Lunch healthy eating campaign with Shadow Education Minister Sharon Hodgson. While boasting no particular area of expertise, it seems his trip to Westminster has given him a taste of politics. He claimed ‘it would be lovely to be an MP’, explaining that he was ‘someone who can get the points across that people want and can understand without jargon.’

Winner round one: Alex may have the most ambition when it comes to politics, but Russell has the gift of the gab needed to become a top politician.

Career to date

Russell first found fame presenting Big Brother’s Big Mouth, with his increased profile launching his career as a stand-up comedian and TV and radio presenter. Despite being forced to leave the BBC after the Sachsgate scandal, Russell’s career went from strength to strength. After playing rock star Aldous Snow in Forgetting Sarah Marshall Brand made it big Stateside, landing a string of movie roles and high-profile presenting gigs. His short-lived marriage to pop star Katy Perry cemented his status as A-list celebrity on both sides of the pond.

Alex Reid’s career is slightly less high-profile, with his initial rise to fame thanks largely to his relationship with glamour model Katie Price. The cage fighter received further attention after winning Celebrity Big Brother in 2010, with Alex marrying Price shortly afterwards. After an unsuccessful foray into acting Reid has mainly stuck to reality TV and appearances in showbiz magazines, although he is now starring in Wildboyz, a Full Monty-esque stage play.

Celebrity conquests

After rising to prominence Russell quickly established himself as a notorious ladies’ man, bedding scores of women on his travels. His charms were such that a number of celebrities were thought to have been seduced by Russell, with Courtney Love and Kate Moss reportedly among his conquests. His wild side was thought to have been tamed when he finally settled down and married US singer Katy Perry, although the pair are now in the process of divorcing.

Alex Reid first came to public attention after he started dating glamour model Katie Price following her split from then-husband Peter Andre. The pair eventually married in February 2010 before announcing their plans to separate just ten months later. The pair were granted a decree nisi in March this year, after Alex moved on to 2006 Celebrity Big Brother winner Chantelle Houghton. The pair are now engaged, with Chantelle expecting the couple’s first child.

X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos beat a bevvy of beauties to be crowned FHM’s sexiest woman on the planet this week, however Metro readers feel the honour should have gone to Friends With Benefits star Mila Kunis. The pair go head-to-head again in this week’s Celebrity Face Off.

Tulisa said it was a ‘lovely confidence boost’ to be crowned the sexiest woman in the world by FHM readers this week, but her buoyancy may have taken a knock following the negative media and public reaction to her surprising win.

The hash tag #WomenSexierThanTulisa was trending worldwide shortly after it was announced she had topped the poll, with the 23-year-old becoming the butt of a series of jokes posted by users on the micro-blogging site.

TOWIE’s Mario Falcone blasted the decision, tweeting: ‘Do not understand how Tulisa won FHM 100 sexiest women…. Must be a fix!!!’

While wannabe popstar Katie Waissel added: ‘Tulisa the sexiest woman in the world? She’s barely sexiest woman on the X Factor judging panel. ‘ Ouch.

Sexpot Mila Kunis was the clear winner of Metro’s sexiest women poll, picking up over 25 per cent of the vote compared to Tulisa who grabbed just eight per cent of the total.

The brunette bombshell defeated the likes of Cheryl Cole and Rihanna to be declared the unofficial winner and is clearly a huge hit with Metro readers.

Winner: Tulisa may have the award but Ms Kunis takes this round after topping Metro’s poll. 1-0.

Tulisa is arguably in the best shape of her life and the sexy star certainly knows how to flaunt it after parading her bikini body on an extended break in Miami earlier this year.

Her shapely curves, feisty nature and sparkly smile are a killer combination and the former N-Dubz singer has certainly learnt which tight outfits show off her best bits having ditched her unflattering tracksuits and hoodies.

With her toned to perfection legs, teeny waist and curvaceous bottom, it’s difficult to pick faults with buxom beauty Tulisa.

Ukrainian born Kunis’ head-turning natural beauty, toned legs and super slim figure has left red-blooded males drooling and earned her numerous world’s sexiest female nominations.

She finished ninth in FHM’s poll having blossomed from a pretty teenager on American sitcom That ’70s Show to getting down and dirty with Natalie Portman in Hollywood thriller Black Swan.

The Friends With Benefits star simply oozes sex appeal.

Tulisa’s career hit unprecedented heights in 2011 when Simon Cowell invited her to become a judge on X Factor.

It remains to be seen what impact her leaked sex tape has on her career, but she is already set to return to the ITV singing show later this year.

Her debut single Young went straight to number one in the UK but has received mixed reviews from critics ahead of the release of her first solo album due out in September.

Hollywood star Kunis is one of the most famous faces on the planet and her career appears to be going from strength to strength following a string of Best Supporting Actress nominations and awards for 2010 hit Black Swan.

Friends With Benefits was another huge success for the actress who will star in fantasy film Oz: The Great and Powerful later this year.

Winner: Mila Kunis is the clear winner this round.

Overall Winner:She may have not won FHM’s sexiest woman award but she is this week’s Face Off winner. 2-1.

Jeremy Clarkson conceded defeat to Simon Cowell in the TV wars this week when he likened Top Gear to a ‘medium-sized van’ and compared it with Cowell’s TV ‘juggernaut’ The X Factor, but who will come out on top in our Celebrity Face Off?

This week TV stalwart Top Gear won the prestigious lifetime achievement award at the Rose d’Or Festival.

With the programme being shown in 198 countries it cannot be denied that Clarkson and his chums Richard Hammond and James May have something special.

Nevertheless the popular BBC show will not be returning this autumn as, in the words of Clarkson himself, Sunday nights will instead ‘be full of fat people singing’ when The X Factor starts this summer.

Despite Top Gear’s TV success, Simon Cowell is well on the way to taking over the world entirely. He has a worryingly large amount of influence over ITV and now it’s been rumoured that the TV mogul has set his sights on the BBC.

The X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent spin-offs have proved popular all over the world, particularly in the US where ratings count most.

Winner: Although Clarkson has found a winning formula in Top Gear, it’s Simon Cowell who has his finger in the most pies. And they’re big ones too.

Pulling power

Jeremy Clarkson has secured all the big names on his show. The likes of Tom Cruise, Cameron Diaz  and even Boris Johnson have all joined Clarkson on those worn out leather sofas.

Over on ITV Simon Cowell likewise gets all the big names. Britney Spears, Paul McCartney, Mariah Carey, Coldplay, Rihanna and many many more have all bolstered ratings for The X Factor.

Winner: Although Simon Cowell has himself appeared on Top Gear, Cowell has overwhelming pulling power both on TV and off. With SiCo claiming the fastest lap of Clarkson’s track, the winner of this round must be Simon.

Controversy

Simon Cowell has had his fair share of controversy lately. First it was alleged he had a fling with former co-star Dannii Minogue during her stint on The X Factor and now he’s been accused of ‘fixing’ Britain’s Got Talent.

He’s also been slammed for subjecting young children like nine-year-old Malakai Paul to unnecessary pressure on the show.

Meanwhile, Jeremy Clarkson is constantly ruffling feathers.

He once suggested striking public sector workers should be shot ‘in front of their families’. And in an episode of Top Gear earlier this year, Clarkson controversially compared a Japanese camper van to a person with a growth on their face.

Winner: Love him or loathe him Jeremy Clarkson’s relentless jibes mean he is the clear winner in this round.

Career

Britney has had a long and varied career, which all kicked off when she released Hit Me Baby One More Time. Since then Brit has had seven albums, a string of number one hits and a very public breakdown. Not wanting to stop at acting, the Oops I Did It Again hitmaker has done her share of acting, appearing in Goldmember, Crossroads and Farenheit 9/11.

Like Britney, Demi started out on the Disney Channel, with her most famous appearances being in Camp Rock alongside the Jonas Brothers, and the comedy Sonny With A Chance. Her music is loved by teens all over the world, but with only three studio albums to her name, she is a bit behind Britney in the experience stakes.

Winner Round One: Britney wins for a wealth of experience in the pop music industry

Low points

Britney has had her share of outrageous moments over the years, two of the most unforgettable being the moment she decided to completely shave off all her hair, and her on-stage snog with Madonna. Spears clearly had a thing for bad boys, with her marriage to rapper Kevin Federline hitting the skids in a big way. However, the blonde beauty has since mellowed out and is looking forward to a future with fiancée Jason Trawick.

Back in 2010, Demi went into rehab to recover from physical and emotional issues, taking six months away from the spotlight. In an interview with ABC, Lovato said that her rehab stint was to recover from bulimia and self-harming. She also admitted to heavy drinking and using drugs. Her treatment in rehab saw the singer diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

Winner Round Two: Demi wins for overcoming her demons and being a shining example to teen girls everywhere.

Judge Potential

With a long and varied career behind her princess of pop Britney could make a formidable X Factor judge as she already knows what it takes to get to the top. Also with her track record in the charts, the Womaniser singer is bound to know what sounds good and what doesn’t. Will she end up being harsher than everyone expects?

Demi is young and still not as seasoned as Britney, so she is likely to be nicer to X Factor hopefuls, more so towards those who are young. Demi will bring her experience of being young and famous to the table, and will most likely act as a balm to Simon Cowell’s withering putdowns. However, there is a danger that the Camp Rock star may be too soft.

Winner Round Three: Britney does have the experience and talent to be a force to be reckoned with, so she wins.

Overall winner: Britney bests Demi two rounds to one.

Both Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, as well as Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, have made some dramatic PDAs at Cannes this week. But who will win this week’s Celebrity Face Off?

Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson have been dating for nearly four years, if reports are to be believed. They are notoriously coy about their romance and have not yet confirmed they are even dating. However, a romantic evening on a balcony in Cannes this week involving a romantic smooch seems to finally prove they are very much an item.

They are clearly smitten with each other and being co-stars on all four of the Twilight films, as well as working on the fifth, it’s clear they can work together as well as play together which is often a big hurdle. They share a camera-shy attitude, hiding under baseball caps or hoodies whenever cameras are about and neither are regulars on the party scene. If either one of them has a premiere to attend, the other will generally always attend for support as well – even if they do enter via the back door. For a couple as huge as they are, they’ve done well to avoid the attention that surrounds them daily.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, on the other hand, have only been dating for two months. However, they are far further down the line of embracing public displays of affection than R-Pattz and K-Stew are. The couple are often seen on nights out holding hands, hugging and giggling together, clearly still in their honeymoon phase.

They too have been enjoying the 65th Cannes Film Festival where they have continued their venture of showing the world they are finally an item. Having been friends for years, they have the perfect foundation for a rock-solid relationship. Their romance history is also far longer than two months. They were linked back in October 2010 when they were spotted enjoying a cosy dinner following Kim’s split from NFL player Miles Austin.

Round 1 winner: Though Kim and Kanye are more comfortable embracing their relationship, Kristen and R-Pattz have managed a long relationship under the strain of the spotlight and even defy odds by having an intense working relationship as well. They undoubtedly have a bright future and therefore win this round.

Keeping themselves away from the public eye, Robert and Kristen don’t shout about their famous friends. They can avoid the media whenever they choose to and are rarely ever spotted out doing daily chores like other fame-hungry celebs. It was even reported last week that just to get an interview with Kristen about her new film On The Road, reporters would have to pay a whopping £2,000.

However, when it comes to mingling with famous pals, Kim and Kanye rule the roost. With their phone books consisting of names such as Jay-Z, Beyonce, Rihanna, Gwyneth Paltrow and, of course, the entire Kardashian clan, they’re very well linked.

While R-Pattz and Kristen focus their careers on films, turning down any endorsements, rapper Kanye and reality TV star Kim have a career that collectively spans TV, music, fashion, beauty, fitness and films. Likewise, while Kanye has 7million Twitter followers and Kim has a whopping 14.8million, whereas Kristen and Rob keep away from the social-networking site.

Kim’s celebrity status is also cemented with a position at number 7 on the Forbes ‘most powerful celebrities’ list and Kanye is sat at 45. Kristen managed to grab a spot at 43 but Robert doesn’t even make it into the top 100.

Round 2 winner: A true power couple means living in the public eye and having lots of connections in high places. Kim and Kanye walk this round.

Given that Kristen and R-Pattz like to hide away and make very few public appearances, it seems unfair to pit them against one of the world’s most famous rappers and a reality TV star. Even so, when they’re not spotted wearing jeans, plain T-shirts and baseball caps with the odd leather jacket thrown in to add a bit of style, they do manage to look quite the attractive couple.

Kristen will don her glad rags for red carpet events and the British actor even manages to find time to have a suit fitting, giving David Beckham a run for his money. Kristen might turn up in heels before switching to a pair of trainers for comfort later in the night, but she’s made an effort which is surely what counts.

Being in one of the most famous families in the world must have its added pressure of constant scrutiny on how you look but Kim manages to look flawless 99% of the time. Having her name to various beauty brand and fashion houses, she must have products thrown at her but it is still evident she has a natural flare for style. Often stepping out at glitzy evens in an even glitzier dress that showcases her curves in all the right places, she can even pull off the notoriously difficult casual look. And standing next to Kanye in a suit only enhances her glamorous look and makes the pair look ultra smart.

Round 3 winner: Unfortunately, hiding away under their baseball caps has lost Kristen and Robert this round – it goes to Kim and Kanye.

Overall winners: Kanye West and Kim Kardashian.They may have only been dating for two months compared to R-Pattz and K-Stew’s four years, but Kim and Kanye have the who’s-who of celebrities in their address books and look every inch as good as other showbiz power couples.

Famed for her natural curves, ample cleavage and tumbling locks Kim K is definitely not camera shy. The reality star is a pro at pulling seductive poses and has her sultry pout down to a T.

Even her new beau Kanye West cannot stop the Playboy cover girl from toning down her act.

She may be 41 but Melanie Sykes could give girls half her age a run for their money. She doesn’t quite have the curves of Kim Kardashian but Melanie is toned, tanned and equally gorgeous.

She sparked a frenzy when she posted a number of saucy snaps to her toyboy lover via Twitter this week, but let’s not forget Mel posed naked for Esquire in December.

Cheryl Cole looked cosy when they both taped their appearance on The Graham Norton Show, but which pop siren will come out on top in our Celebrity Face Off?

Love life

Katy seemed to have the ideal love life when she married comedian Russell Brand, but sadly the relationship went south at the end of last year and the pair got divorced. Since then, the brunette beauty has been linked to hunky model Baptist Giabiconi, and Florence and the Machine guitarist Rob Ackroyd. While Giabiconi insisted that he and the singer were just pals, Perry has recently been seen out and about with Ackroyd after rumours they were an item previously but split up.

Cheryl had a very public, messy split from footballer Ashley Cole amid rumours he had cheated on the Geordie lass. Since then, Cheryl’s relationship status has been set firmly to single – brushing off connections to The Black Eyed Peas star Will.i.am, professional dancer Derek Hough , and even showbiz mogul Simon Cowell .

However, the singer recently set her sights a bit higher by admitting she fancies eligible bachelor Prince Harry.

Katy thankfully saves her more outrageous get-ups for the stage, but when she’s out and about she is very fashion forward as she proved during Paris Fashion week this year.

Cheryl’s style is more unique, and she gives the impression she wears whatever makes her feel good at the time. Still, the Fight For This Love singer has made some public faux pas, too. Remember the garish purple flares and that gigantic hairdo when The X Factor launched in the US? Something like that is just a bit too hard to get over.

Movie career

Perry didn’t make her onscreen debut in person, but her voice was very present in kids film The Smurfs, which was out in the summer last year. But what people are most likely to remember most about that time was not her part in the sub-par movie but the sexy short Smurfette dress she wore to the premiere. Katy is currently in the process of promoting her new documentary movie Katy Perry: Part Of Me.

Cole has only made one appearance on screen in pregnancy comedy What To Expect When You’re Expecting, in a short cameo as a judge on a talent show (sounds familiar…). This minor role obviously spurred her to grace the red carpet in Cannes and cosy up to Cameron Diaz at the premiere. Could this be the start of bigger things to come?

Winner:Katy Perry wins for having the brains to mastermind her own documentary – which we’re sure will be heartfelt and generally awesome.

OVERALL WINNER:Katy Perry comes from behind to take it 2-1 overall, despite losing out in the love stakes. But the bubblegum pop star stormed it in both the other rounds to hold off hot chick Cheryl – no mean feat in itself.

Imogen Thomas revealed they are expecting their first child this week. But who should win this week’s Celebrity Face Off?

Yummy mummyImogen Thomas is by no means shy when it comes to getting her kit off. With glamour model firmly placed on her CV, she certainly secures male attention wherever she goes. But when she pops, it’s unlikely she’ll be flaunting her bits as much, although the fitness fanatic is sure to want to get back to her enviable figure straight away. She’s already got a voluptuous figure so there’s no doubt she’ll work those baby curves well. Added to which, she’s featured in FHM’s Sexiest Woman In The World running and was even named the Sexiest Woman in Wales, ahead of Catherine Zeta Jones .Fearne Cotton is just as desired as Imogen but she doesn’t flaunt her flesh anywhere near as much. With such a slim frame, it’s hard to imagine the radio DJ putting on all that baby weight too. The trendy star will no doubt ensure she looks her best though as the bump grows.

Round one winner: Imogen can work curves like there’s no tomorrow and her heft cleavage is only going to get bigger, no doubt bringing the male attention with it. She wins this round.

Style

Imogen is often seen out in tight-fitting outfits showing off her figure but she’s not unknown to head out in a pair of sweat pants and a scruffy T-shirt on her days off, giving the impression she just doesn’t care. She has worked alongside model Caprice on a lingerie collection though, which gives her a few style points.

However, Fearne has her own range of clothing at very.co.uk. so her new sprog is bound to be the best-dressed kid in town. She models for her range as well and oozes bucket-loads of sex appeal in all of the outfits she wears.

Round two winner: With her own fashion line under her belt, Fearne wins this round hands down.

Romantic historyBoth ladies have dated their fair share of famous men which makes this round a little harder. Imogen famously was linked to footballer Ryan Giggs earlier this year but she has also dated a string of famous faces including American model Tyson Beckford, Russell Brand, Jermain Defoe and Matthew Collins. She’s now well settled with her boyfriend Adam Horsley and the pair are expecting their first baby together.

Fearne, on the other hand, has dated Lostprophets frontman Ian Watkins, TV presenter Steve Jones and was engaged to skateboarder Jesse Jenkins. She’s now expecting her first tot with Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood’s son Jesse Wood. And the dad is clearly chuffed with his son’s choice, earlier this year gushing: ‘I very much approve. I do wonder if she’ll become my daughter-in-law any time soon.’

Rhian Sugden entered the Celebrity Big Brother House this week alongside fellow glamour model Jasmine Lennard. They’ve each had their fair share of tabloid exposure but who will win this week’s Celebrity Face Off?

Jasmine Lennard, 27, allegedly had a six-month affair with none other than Simon Cowell back in 2006 while he was dating then-girlfriend Terri Seymour.

And as a fiery, confident, leggy brunette she certainly fits the bill for his usual ‘type’. The mum-of-one is also said to have dated footballing extraordinaire Christiano Ronaldo.

Rhian Sugden, 25, had her name dragged through the mud after she was outed as one of the girls sending TV host Vernon Kay flirty text messages behind his wife Tess Daly ‘s back in 2010.

The pretty blonde insists the messages were perfectly innocent but says she has been the target of abuse ever since.

She’s now married to her childhood sweetheart, has two children and a dog and lives in LA.

Jasmine shot to stardom in 2005 on Make Me A Supermodel. And modelling is certainly in her blood as the daughter of playboy Brian Lennard and original Dior and Chanel model Marilyn Galsworthy.

Jasmine and her sisters Pandora and Jessica were named after three of their father’s mistresses. Her mother claims it was ‘a tribute to those who didn’t make it’.

Winner: During her stint on Make Me A Supermodel Jasmine received more public votes than all the other contestants combined. She must be doing something right. Jasmine wins this round.

Jasmine was sacked from Make Me a Supermodel Extra in 2005 after dubbing panel judge Rachel Hunter ‘Rachel Munter’.

Not one to mince her words, she described the veteran model as ‘spotty, finished and fat’ and also said: ‘I suggest she throws out the truckload of make-up she uses and hires a personal trainer.’

Consequently, she’s going to go down a treat on CBB.

Rhian on the other hand is a little more reserved.

According to the pretty blonde fellow housemate Samantha Brick wrote an article saying she didn’t trust men because of Rhian’s involvement with TV host Vernon.

Upon hearing the news, Jasmine quipped: ‘You have been very diplomatic because if someone had written that about me, it would have been on.’

Winner: Jasmine’s fiery, no nonsense personality could be likened to that of Janice Dickinson. What’s not to love? She’s bound to go all the way in the Channel 5 show. She wins this round hands down.

Overall winner

Rhian didn’t stand much of a chance as Jasmine isn’t afraid to trample all over those who get in her way to the top. She wins everything. Anything. Ever.

David Haye have both made it to the final three on this year’s series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! but which sexy specimen will win our Face Off this week?

Beach body

As a former member of the Pussycat Dolls, Ashley Roberts has a bikini body to rival the finest figures out there.

Her trim physique may not have warranted as much air time compared to the likes of Helen Flanagan , and she didn’t quite manage to overtake Myleene Klass on the jungle shower leader board, but her slender frame is certainly nothing to be sniffed at.

Elsewhere on the show, David Haye has delighted audiences at home with his never ending nakedness over at Croc Creek.

Even Charlie Brooks has cottoned on to the fact that the public must be keeping him in until the bitter end in order to catch another glimpse of his pert behind.

Winner: Both are super sexy but David Haye is nothing but a marvel. David wins this round. 

Camp life

Ashley has proved she’s not just a pretty face during her time in camp.

In terms of bushtucker trials she scored an impressive eight out of 10 stars in ‘terror train’ and bagged a mighty four out of five meals for camp in ‘the jungle walk of shame’ with Charlie.

According to Eric Bristow, Ashley is so hardened to jungle living she’d eat cockroaches for brekkie if she had to.

David has nominated himself for a few trials over the past few weeks. He scooped a full house in ‘scare plane’ and nabbed six out of seven stars where Helen could not in ‘cruelty towers’.

He’s fun to be around and has proved to be a good diffuser when things get heated around camp.

Winner: Other than losing a bit of bulk David is undoubtedly a natural when it comes to camping. On the other hand, Ashley has proved than not every Pussycat Doll has to be a diva and has really taken jungle living in her stride. This one goes to Ashley.

Winning potential

Ashley came in to the show virtually unknown in the UK. Everyone knew the Pussycat Dolls but nobody had heard of Ashley Roberts.

Nevertheless, she has excelled on the show and not just because she’s pretty to look at.

She’s sweet, down to earth and even got Eric Bristow performing the routine to Don’t Cha which was definitely a feat.

However, it was Ashley’s role as camp meddler, and her incredible i-saw-a-monster gag – which really secured her as a frontrunner on the show.

On the other hand, Haye has been one of the most popular camp members right from the off.

He may be juicy bit of eye candy but he’s also very kind, considerate and laid back.

He was one of the bigger names coming in to the show and this stood him in good stead as he had no ulterior motive and hasn’t been attention seeking, unlike some of the rest.

Winner: Both David and Ashley made brilliant camp meddlers and would make perfect jungle champs. They’re both worthy winners but David will probably swing it.

Overall Winner

David came on the show to win and let’s face it, he probably will. David wins everything. Ever.

Dancing On Ice judge Ashley Roberts has been very vocal about what she makes of Samia Ghadie and Sylvain Longchambon’s blossoming romance. Ashley insists she would never dream of going near a taken man but which of these two Sunday night regulars will win our Dancing On Ice Face Off?

Star credentials

Ashley was in the Pussycat Dolls alongside Nicole Scherzinger from 2003 to 2010.  The American dance troop are one of the best-selling girl groups on the planet having flogged more than 15 million albums worldwide.

Nevertheless, the Don’t Cha hitmaker only became a household name here in the UK when she signed up to the most recent series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! finishing runner-up to EastEnders star Charlie Brooks. An impressive feat considering she’s from across the pond.

Bagging a spot on the Dancing On Ice judging panel was a fine move for 31-year-old Ashley, who looks as though she’s planning on sticking around.

Samia on the other hand is our favourite Corrie sweetheart – besides Michelle Keegan of course.

She’s racked up 12 years on the cobbles and has had some cracking storylines in her time. Her stint on DOI means we can finally get to know Samia rather than Weatherfield’s finest hairdresser, Maria Connor.

Winner: Samia’s pretty face is probably better known in Britain but Ashley has achieved worldwide stardom. Ashley wins this round. 

Love life woes

With her gorgeous good looks, killer curves and a sexy dance background it’s a surprise Ashley has managed to fend off potential suitors for this long. Unlike Samia, Ashley’s love life hasn’t been dragged through the press, although both Mark Wright and Declan Donnelly both took a shine to her Down Under.

Divorced Samia dumped her Corrie co-star Will Thorp soon after DOI kicked off, although she insists it had nothing to do with her gorgeous French skating partner. She’s had a lot of stick for it, especially after Sylvain ditched his long-term girlfriend Jennifer Metcalfe at Christmas, and it doesn’t look as though it’s going to be tailing off anytime soon.

Winner: Samia’s been having a tough time lately, this one goes to her. 

Jason Gardiner’s verdict

Jason Gardiner is the one to impress when it comes to DOI and the camp judge thinks Ashley Roberts is a keeper, having once referred to her as ‘brilliant’.

The sharp-tongued judge is also fond of Samia, telling her last week that she and Sylvain delivered the ‘performance of the night’.

‘There’s great chemistry between you… I wonder why?’ he added.

Winner: Jason definitely has a soft spot for Samia but that’s probably because she’s adding a bit of drama to the show. His affections seem to be more genuine when it comes to Ashley. Ashley wins this one.

Nineties pop favourites Atomic Kitten are back and the girls are airing all their dirty laundry on ITV2′s The Big Reunion. Originals Liz McClarnon and Kerry Katona have already revealed they once came to blows in the backseat of a car over Kerry’s ex-hubby Brian McFadden, but who will win our Atomic Kitten Face Off?

Heyday

Atomic Kitten first formed in 1997 and both Liz and Kerry were in the original line-up. Liz has proven to be the band’s stalwart and is the only member to hold out from the group’s inception until now. However, she was never really a focal point in the band, unlike Natasha Hamilton who took centre stage for the most part.

Kerry and her first hubby Westlife star Brian McFadden were a bit like Posh and Becks in that their blossoming relationship soon started to overshadow the band. Kerry quit the group when she fell pregnant with their first child and was replaced by Jenny Frost in 2001.

Post Katona, the group racked up three UK number one singles (Whole Again, Eternal Flame, and The Tide Is High) and churned out another two albums (Feels So Good and Ladies Night). Impressive stuff, uh?

Winner: Although both of these two were always on the periphery, Liz has clocked up 16 years in the band compared to Kerry’s six. Kerry did one album while Liz did three.This one goes to Liz. 

Post split

After she quit the band Kerry had yet another daughter and went on to win the third series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2004. However, it all went awry when Brian kicked her to the curb and she sought comfort in the money-grabbing arms of Mark Croft. Kerry well and truly lost the plot during this time, making plenty of headlines in the process.

She’s had drink, drugs and weight problems aplenty, reality shows coming out of her ears and too many dodgy TV appearances to name. Oh and she’s been bankrupt too. In fact, few even remembered her humble Atomic Kitten beginnings when The Big Reunion came around.

Liz on the other hand has kept a comparatively low profile having done a bit of panto, a TV show called Hotter Than My Daughter, Celebrity Love Island and Celebrity Master Chef. Most notably, she bagged the role of Paulette in the first UK tour of Legally Blonde: The Musical.

Winner: Kerry has had some serious highs and lows since she quit the group, unlike Liz who has trudged along and is still in pretty good nick. Kerry gets this one though for her undeniable perseverance and incredible comeback.

The Big Reunion

So the girls are back in action and both appear to have remembered the perky souls they once were. Kerry has edged things up a big with her cropped hairdo and Liz is just as gangly as ever. They’ve put on a few pounds between them but the chemistry’s still there and a permanent reunion probably shouldn’t be ruled out just yet.

However, Kerry has the most to prove in light of band’s success with her replacement Jenny Frost. ’I don’t think we did harmonies when Kerry was in the band, I think her mike was turned off,’ remembered Natasha.

Liz wins this one too.

Overall Winner

Liz comes out on top but love her or hate her, Kerry Katona has made the girl group what they are today, irrespective of the fact Liz has been in the band ten years longer. Kerry wins!

Kelly Brook is now back with her ex Danny Cipriani after finishing with her (far more hunky) boyfriend Thom Evans last month.

They’re both rugby players, both in their 20s and have model looks. But who’s going to win our Celebrity Face Off? Vote for which one floats your boat at the bottom…

Torso

There’s no denying that both of Kelly’s exes tick all the boxes in the torso stakes. They are both rugby players, after all.

We don’t get to see Danny with his shirt off nearly as much as we do Thom as he’s usually on the pitch while Evans gets to show off his package in modelling shoots. However, with a 36-pack, bronzed tan and constantly-oiled look, Thom pips Danny in this round.

Credentials

Thom,27, was forced to quit his rugby career for Scotland when he suffered a severe neck injury at the end of 2010. But that hasn’t set him back in the career stakes as he now makes oodles of money modelling. Who could turn down a male model?

Part of the reason Danny and Kelly split was because of his move from rugby squad the London Wasps in 2010 to the Melbourne Rebels. However, just as Kelly and Danny are spotted getting cosy, he’s revealed to have signed a three-year deal with English team Sale Sharks and starts next season. With him now back in the UK, what’s stopping them?

Exes

Before Kelly, Thom wasn’t on the scene. If Kelly took him back, not only would she not have any jealous bunny boilers to worry about, she doesn’t run the risk of tell-all tabloid tales coming between them.

Danny, 25, however has a dating history that would leave most girls running scared. He enjoyed a brief fling with Imogen Thomas and then later was spotted getting a bit too cosy with Katie Price. Imogen and Danny hadn’t even called themselves boyfriend and girlfriend but that didn’t stop the former Big Brother star launching foul-mouthed Twitter attack on ‘biggest bull******* out there’ Cipriani. Add then there’s Aussie ‘it girl’ Lara Bingle to add to the mix too. Kelly is well clear of all of this baggage.

Verdict

It’s a clear 3-0 victory to Thom in our eyes. With his muscles, boyish good looks and the fact he has no crazy exes hiding in his closet, Kelly is undoubtedly going to regret giving this one up. The only think Danny has that Thom doesn’t is Kelly.

The Brit Awards 2013 have been and gone but Boy George but a dampener on One Direction’s success when he said Liam Payne refused his niece a photo at the Sony after party. The Culture Club star did, however, hail Harry Styles for being the perfect gentlemen and obliging. Hazza may have come off better that time around but who will come out on top in out One Direction Face Off?

Etiquette

George-gate isn’t the first time Harry has outshone his bandmates when it comes to fan appreciation. The 19-year-old ladies’ man recently braved the snow to mingle with fans who had been waiting for the boys’ arrival outside a music studio while the rest of the band headed inside.

However, when it comes to Liam we’re thinking back to the time he ruffled feathers at the Empire State Building after being rude to security and blasting them on Twitter. He was later forced to eat his words. Hmm.

Winner: Liam always seems to hold the boys together on stage when the rest aren’t feeling particularly sociable but it seems he’s a different man in real life. Harry wins.

Looks

Harry’s the tallest out of the bunch with a natural sense of style and his curly mane has been the making of him. He doesn’t smoke, he likes a laugh and he’s mature beyond his years if his pals and former flames are anything to go by.

Liam gets points for being experimental but we’re still not quite sure what was he thinking when he lopped off those luscious locks. When he had long hair he was in Harry’s shadow, when he had a quiff he was copying Louis and now he’s had to settle for a number five. Aww.

Winner: We’ve decided to settle this tough call by looking at their various tattoos. While Harry has a charming bunch of inkings which pay tribute to his family and life experiences, Liam’s arrows on his forearm aren’t quite cutting it for us. Harry wins again. 

One Direction

When the band first started out on The X Factor in 2010 Liam was Simon Cowell’s golden boy and the lead singer.

However, that all changed when Harry Styles came of age and started setting pulses racing. The same could be said for Zayn who’s increasingly nabbing more solo lines but hey, we’re not talking about him.

Harry is the frontman and judging by the number of mentions he got at The Brits on Wednesday his popularity is showing no signs of tailing off. The risk of course is he could do a Robbie and ditch the others to go solo but we reckon he’s too sweet for any of that nonsense.

Winner: Harry comes out on top, again.

Verdict

We love them both in equal measure (promise) but Harry Styles wins this one.

Jake Bugg appears to have made it his mission to take down One Direction. The up-and-coming singer-songwriter has made a string of personal attacks on the 1D boys and we thought it was time we settled this dispute once and for all. Bugg may be triumphing when it comes to the war of words but who will win our Celebrity Face Off?

First impressions

Until he started slagging off our favourite Little Things we had hardly heard of the 19-year-old Bugg… and we think we’d remember that catchy name. He got a brief mention at this year’s Brit Awards when he lost out to Ben Howard in the race for British Breakthrough Act but on first impressions he seems to be overwhelmingly opinionated and downright bitchy.

However, the One Direction boys – except Zayn of course, who didn’t get off to the best of starts when he threw that wobbly at Boot Camp – were instantly likeable from the moment we clapped eyes on them almost three years ago on The X Factor. Even as the fivesome excel in their bid for world domination, they all appear to be extremely well grounded and grateful to all those who have helped them on their way, most importantly, their fans.

Winner: We know who we’d rather take home to meet the parents. One Direction win this round.

Musical achievements

Credit where credit is due, Jake Bugg has grafted incredibly hard to get to where he is now, losing out to Ben Howard in the race for Best British Breakthrough Act at The Brits last week.  So far his small collection of releases (Country Song, Lightning Bolt, Taste It and Two Fingers) haven’t made too much of an impact on the UK charts but we’re assuming the best is yet to come.

However, in the words of Bugg: ‘I don’t really need an award to inspire me to keep writing music and playing my songs.’ That’s good then.

Yes they’re X Factor exports but One Direction’s unprecedented success is down to the boys, not just Simon Cowell, nowadays. This year they were recognised for their global success at The Brits and have won countless awards since they stormed on to the music scene in 2010. They’re not everyone’s cup of tea but their fan base is something to be marvelled.

Winner: While we respect Bugg’s humble beginnings, One Direction have number ones coming out of their ears.

Extracurricular activity

In his spare time Bugg appears to be slagging off 1D for the most part.

Meanwhile, fans can’t get enough of  Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson as they run riot across the globe.

Harry’s penchant for cougars, Zayn’s Little Mix romance, THAT crush Liam had on Leona Lewis, Louis’ – well Louis is quite low key actually – and Niall’s Irish charm keeps the press wanting more and more. Keep it coming lads!

Winner: The only reason Bugg is hitting any headlines is because he has taken a controversial dislike to One Direction.  Harry and the gang win this one too. 

Overall winner

We understand music rivalry and we understand that not all musicians are going to get along when they’re passionate about what they do. However, there are plenty of home-grown musicians leagues above Bugg who don’t find they need to slam the Kiss You stars to boost their own profiles. One Direction are worthy winners.

Frankie Boyle found himself in hot water this week – and not for the first time – when he slagged off the Queen and Kate Middleton (among others) during his Give It Up for Comic Relief gig.  And event organiser Russell Brand – who has landed himself in similar situations in his time – jumped in to defend him. Both comedians are accustomed to the eye of the storm, but who will win our Celerity Face Off?

Controversies

Russell Brand has openly battled drink, drugs and sex addiction but it was Sachsgate which really landed him in the doo-doo. The cheeky comic sparked outrage in 2008 when he and fellow troublemaker Jonathan Ross left a series of crude answerphone message on Fawlty Towers actor Andrew Sach’s phone during their Radio 2 show.

Prior to the call, Brand revealed to listeners that he had slept with Sach’s granddaughter. Unable to reach the actor, Brand and Ross left four messages on his answerphone. During the first message Ross shouted, ‘He f***ed your granddaughter’ and the subsequent messages saw the comedians apologising for the outburst. Consequently, Brand was forced to quit the BBC and fled to LA, where he still resides today.

Frankie on the other hand is renowned for his close to the knuckle gags, although some say he took he took it too far when he said he wished the Queen had died in the lead up to her Diamond Jubilee on Thursday night. ‘I wish the Queen had died the night before the Royal Jubilee – I wish she’d just f***ing died,’ he started. ‘But they wouldn’t have been able to tell us that she’d died. They would have had to hollow out her body and get that guy who plays Gollum to wear it.’

Winner: Although Sachsgate was deeply offensive for poor old Manuel, Brand’s likability makes us want to forgive him. Boyle doesn’t evoke quite the same emotions. Brand wins this one.

Celebrity spats

Frankie Boyle’s reputation (presumably) plummeted when he waged war on Katie Price after he poked fun at her disabled son Harvey. His insults aimed at the likes of X Factor winner James Arthur and Olympic swimmer Rebecca Adlington also fell flat but he earned a few brownie points when he lashed out at Chris Brown during the London Games last summer.

The spat started when Brown tweeted: ‘Serious tweet: I THink SKATEBOARDING AND BREAKDANCING should be an Olympic sport.’

To which Boyle replied: ‘@chrisbrown Or intergender boxing, you’d be in with a chance of a medal there mate.’

Brand has divorced Katy Perry so we’re assuming a few arguments went on there but other than that there doesn’t seem to much to report on this front.

Winner: Frankie hasn’t quite mastered when best to hold his tongue and has made plenty of celebrity enemies along the way. Brand, again, seems to have that ability to keep everyone on side. Brand wins.

Rugged good looks? 

Russell’s got charisma, intelligence and charm but that greasy hair, bohemian look and West Ham tattoo is enough to put anyone off. The 37-year-old is a notorious ladies’ man but we’re confident women aren’t drawn to him for his gorgeous looks.

Frankie Boyle’s ginger buzz cut and matching beard – coupled with his usual pair of thick-rimmed glasses and bad sense of humour –  are doing little to woo us nowadays. He’s also showing the first signs of a beer belly. Time to shape up, Frankie!

Winner: If Russell Brand lopped off those scraggly locks and untamed facial hair there could well be a serious looker underneath. We’re not too sure the same could be said for Frankie.

Overall winner

Both Russell Brand and Frankie Boyle are undoubtedly funny guys, but Boyle just doesn’t radiate the same likability factor like Brand. Brand wins this week.

Justin Timberlake is seriously stepping on Kanye West’s toes as his musical friendship with Jay-Z, an honour usually reserved for Kanye West, goes from strength to strength. Jay-Z and JT are touring together this summer and are set to co-headline the third and final date of this year’s Wireless Festival in London in July. Both boys are talented musicians but who will win this week’s Celebrity Face Off?

Music

While JT’s been lying low in recent years, Kanye West has been busy churning out the hits. We’ve had a sneak peak of JT’s new album The 20/20 Experience on iTunes and we’re not confident that it’s going to consume us like his Justified and FutureSex/LoveSounds.

Kanye, however, was recently bummed to discover he had ranked in seventh place on MTV’s best rappers in the world list and blamed his pregnant girlfriend Kim Kardashian for the unexpected positioning. ‘They don’t like Kanye in a kilt. They don’t like Kanye in a relationship,’ he moaned earlier this month.

Winner: We love JT and really hope his next album is a grower. However, Kanye West has to win this one, for now.

Women

Justin Timberlake and 31-year-old Jessica Biel got off to a rocky start when they first started dating in 2007 but after a brief split the pair tied the knot in Italy in October last year. The actress is her hubby’s biggest fan and was spotted singing her heart out at his London gig last month.

Like JT and Biel, Kimye also had somewhat of a rocky start as they’ve always had a thing for each other but never quite managed to get it together. Kanye’s ex-girlfriend Amber Heard reckons the 32-year-old reality TV star was sexting her beau when they were in a relationship and Kanye has admitted he was rapping about his affections for Kim when she was tied down to Kris Humphries, who, by the way, she is still trying to shake off.

Winner: Kim may not have a patch on Biel when it comes to talent but she’d win hands down if we’re going to be all shallow and rate them on looks. Kimye are the ultimate power couple. Kanye wins this round.  

Sex factor

Justin Trousersnake is still wooing us 13 years since he first stepped on to the music scene in 1998. He’s sharpened up his image since his double denim N Sync days and we’re loving it.  He’s grown up and matured, just like his diehard fan base.

Kanye West’s super bling style doesn’t really tickle our fancy, if we’re being honest. It’s great he’s into fashion and has given Kimmy a classy makeover but those ginormous tees and baggy leather trousers aren’t doing it for us. At least he’s got rid of those grills, I suppose.

Winner: JT wins this one hands down.

Overall winner

If it wasn’t for Kimmy we’d ensure this one went to JT but unfortunately it’s gotta go to Kanye.

Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult called time on their two-year relationship in January and the About A Boy star has done a fine job insisting he’s happy for his ex in the wake of her recent accolades. But while things appear to be all fine and dandy between the estranged lovers, who will come out on top in our Celebrity Face Off?

Roles

These two hooked up on the set of X-Men: First Class in 2011 and have taken very different paths since. Jennifer has clocked up numerous gongs for her starring role in Silver Linings Playbook, including a Golden Globe and an Oscar, and she’s got another big year ahead as filming for The Huger Games: Catching Fire really gets underway.

Hoult, 23, has also come a long way since his days as Tony Stonem in Skins and although he’s bagged lead parts in upcoming flicks Jack The Giant Slayer and Warm Bodies, we’re still inclined to say he’s best known for his role in 2002′s About A Boy.

Winner: We’re convinced Hoult will be nabbing all the big roles in due course now that he’s really coming in to his own but until then, Jen wins this one.

Likability

Nicholas isn’t as endearing as his ex and we think it’s probably because he’s still championing that vacant look he worked so well in Skins all those years ago. We’re liking his maturing image though and we’re hoping he gets a bit more confidence on the red carpet with all that extra attention.

J-Law on the other hand has oodles of likability. The X Factor, Simon Cowell would probably say. She’s down to earth, funny, and honest and we love it how she keeps shrugging off those awkward awards blunders.

Winner: Maybe it’s because Hoult is a bit more reserved and a bit more modest than his ex, but Jen wins this one.

Moved on? 

Just days after the pair went their separate ways Nicholas was snapped getting all cosy with 26-year-old Aussie actress and Warm Bodies co-star Teresa Palmer. Exactly… Who?

In the mean time, J-Law has been linked to her newly single Silver Linings Playbook co-star Bradley Cooper. Ok, so at 38 he’s 25 years her senior… but a fine catch nonetheless.

Jennifer once said the Hollywood hunk took her ‘breath away’ the first time they did a scene together, telling him: ‘The first time I watched the movie you broke my heart and put it back together again.’

Winner: With J-Law checking in as Hollywood’s hottest export right now we’re confident she’ll be snapped up in no time. However, she’s got a busy year ahead with Huger Games promo stuff so we’re think maybe Nicholas may have a bit more time to bag himself a lucky lady. Nick wins this one.

Overall winner

To be honest we’re still sad these two split up. Lawrence has really blossomed lately and although she’s reigning strong right now, we think these two should definitely give it another go further down the line. Until then, Jennifer wins.

Earlier this week Selena Gomez admitted on US TV that she was doing ‘good’ in the wake of her recent split from Justin Bieber. Meanwhile, Biebs has been busy rubbishing claims he is headed for a breakdown. Although it looks as though Gomez has taken to single life a little easier that her former toyboy, which of these estranged lovers will win our Celebrity Face Off?

Looks

Selena Gomez has really come into her own since she left her wholesome Disney days behind her. She’s tried hard to distance herself from her cutesy image with her part in gritty flick Spring Breakers and we think she’s looking great.

Although Bieber is looking, er, taller these days and he’s buffed up his body a wee bit we can’t help but think it’s high time he ditched the baggy jeans and all the bling and sharpened up his look. We’re not suggesting he goes all JT on us, though, after all, we’re still not over the time he tried to grow a bit of facial hair.

Winner: Gomez has really blossomed of late whereas Bieber is still 110 per cent stuck in his style rut.

Post relationship meltdown

Selena has handled the shock split pretty darn graciously. As Bieber carts various women back to his various hotel rooms, 2o-year-old Gomez has been keeping a low profile and smiling sweetly.

Meanwhile, the 19-year-old Canadian has been pouring his heart out on Twitter, Instagram, anywhere he can get his voice heard, really. He let hoards of fans down when he turned up two hours late to his gig at London’s O2 Arena before cancelling a concert in Portugal due to ‘soft’ ticket sales. He’s been refused entry from clubs, hospitalised and even managed to insult Lindsay Lohan’s flailing career on his way down.

Winner: Selena wins this one hands down.

Prospects

Selena will no doubt drop out of the limelight a little bit without Biebs on her arm, particularly here in the UK, but we’re confident she’s not going fall into oblivion just yet. In fact, she may quite like a bit of downtime as she tries to get over her train-wreck relationship. As she continues to blossom as an actress we’re confident Gomez is going to go from strength to strength without the Boyfriend hitmaker dragging her down.

We quite like Bieber’s new fiery personality here at Guilty Pleasures HQ as it makes him that little but more exciting. But when his diva antics mean he’s letting down his teenie bopper fans, we’re not impressed.
If Biebs keeps going the way he’s headed, a Britney Spears meltdown is inevitable, regardless of whether he thinks he can dodge it or not.

Winner: Bieber really needs to play this one out carefully. If he’s willing to shake up his image and mature a little we think he could come out of this mess on top. He’s got the most Twitter followers in the world (yes, more than Lady Gaga) so for that reason and that reason only, he wins this one. 

Overall winner

We like it Selena’s been poking fun at her ex and although he’ll probably always be more famous and successful than her, she wins our Face Off hands down. You go girl.

Jessie J and will.i.am are back for the second series of The Voice UK but while these two passionate musicians battle it out in the search for this year’s hottest new singing sensation, who will win our Celebrity Face Off?

The Voice – series 1

She had a go at being Tulisa Contostavlos’ side-kick on The X Factor back in 2011 but Jessie J – real name Jessica Ellen Cornish – really came into her own when she landed a place on the first series of The Voice last year. She’s prone to hogging the limelight a bit, and she’s a bit gobby too but Jessie J is truly passionate about her acts and that’s what we rate above all else in a mentor.

Luckily for Jessie – although not for the viewers at home – her sometimes annoying mannerisms are overshadowed by will.i.am’s verbal diarrhea, inability to sit still and garish outfits.

Winner: Neither mentor mentored last year’s winner (that was Tom Jones) but we’d say The Voice probably did more for Jessie than it did will, who many people are convinced is a bit of a plonker.

Music

For a start Jessie J can actually sing. She’s had success after success with hit tracks including Price Tag, Domino and LaserLight and she’s got a second studio album on the way. She hasn’t been around for too long but the outgoing songbird has already sold over 11 million singles and 2.5 million albums worldwide.

Will.i.am’s vocals are not his strong point, his real talent lies with producing. Hit tracks include Let’s Get It Started, Boom Boom Pow and Scream & Shout to name but a few.

He’s released four solo albums and has also collaborated with the likes of  Britney Spears, Usher, Nicki Minaj and Cheryl Cole. All in all he’s had more than 30 Top 40 entries on the UK Singles Chart and has sold more than 9.4 million singles in the UK alone.

Winner: Jessie J has certainly got the voice but nobody can deny will.i.am’s success whether it be with the Black Eyed Peas, on his own or with his endless string of high-profile collaborations. The man’s got serious talent. Either that or he’s REALLY good at schmoozing. Will wins. 

Bonus points

Jessie J earned some serious Brownie points earlier this month when she shaved off her luscious locks in aid of Comic Relief. A brave feat for anyone, let alone a woman in the public eye.

Will.i.am hit headlines in August last year when his song Reach For the Stars became the first piece of music broadcast back to Earth from Mars. Ok, so there’s no speakers all the way out there so no extra terrestrial life got a whiff of Will’s catchy beats but it was still a world first.

Winner: Although will.i.am’s feat was pretty impressive, Jessie J’s been busy saving lives and she comes out on top for that.

Overall wineer

Will.i.am’s definintely got the skillz but Jessie J’s maybe just that bit more likable.
